[prMac.com] Richmond, Virginia - Independent children's educational developer Learning with Mattie announces the release of Mattie's ABC's for the iPad. Mattie's ABC's introduces letters and words to toddlers, preschool and home schooled children (ages 2-5). Mattie's ABC's is taught by 6 year old Mattie, an animated character designed after the founder's daughter.
"Mattie loves to help other children learn, and many children often learn better from their peers." said Greg Smith, founder and Mattie's dad. "As a 1st grader Mattie did all of the voice over for the app. She likes to help, she often reads to kindergarten classes at her school."
Mattie's ABC's includes:
* Over 80 words and objects to help children associate their letters in real world context
* A matching game to assist children with recognizing the sounds of letters * Sing Along with Mattie, as a song always brightens the day
Early reviews from parents...
"This app is awesome. Our 2 1/2 y.o. and 6 y.o. fight over who gets to play it first when they get home from school. Our little guy learned to sing along with the ABC's within a week!"
"I bought this initially to help my neice learn her abc's better while we spend time together. She absolutely loves it. It has helped so much with her letter recognition and her speech as well. She seems to pronounce words a bit more clearly then she did. The moment she sees me she wants to turn it on and play. It's really great to watch her get so excited when she gets them right."
* Compatible with iPad 1 or 2
* Requires iOS 4.3 or later
* 42 MB
