[] Chicago, Illinois - Davka Corporation is pleased to announce the release of Torah Notebook, a tool for creating, compiling, and managing Torah content, for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Torah Notebook includes over 1200 short selections based on the weekly Torah reading, as well as on other Jewish subjects, drawn from both classical and modern Jewish sources.

Torah Notebook is ideal for on-the-go study, reading, and creation of Torah content. Torah Notebook includes a search engine that allows users to search the database by word, title, and tag. Selections in the app are tagged by author, subject, and location in the Bible, and can be given additional tags, as well as edited, printed, or copied and pasted into other apps.

One of the most versatile features of the program is its RSS feed, that brings in Torah content from the Internet, which can be integrated into the program. Currently, Torah Notebook incorporates commentary on the weekly Torah reading from YU Torah, one of the leading sources of Jewish content, that is affiliated with New York-based Yeshiva University. Torah Notebook also includes a built-in editor that allows users to write and edit their own content in Hebrew and English, add tags, and integrate them into the program.
