[prMac.com] Buenos Aires, Argentina - The Social Radio, Inc. introduces the first public release of it's award-winning mobile app "The Social Radio" for the iOS platform, now available on the Apple App Store for free.
The Social Radio converts the user's twitter stream into a radio-like experience. With multi-language voice support (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German), users can listen to their Twitter timelines, lists, trending topics, funny hashtags and searches, mixed with the music they love on their mobile devices. The iOS version of The Social Radio supports music-playback from the iPod/iPhone device, or from most cloud-based music services, like Pandora, Spotify and SoundCloud.
"People love listening to music on their smartphones. People also love following their social updates always and anywhere. So, we've created a tool that merges two of the main killer features of a smartphone nowadays into one unique user-experience. And it's called: The Social Radio. We truly believe that "social" can disrupt the traditional radio experience for better, and that's why we've created this app." says Roberto Gluck, CEO of The Social Radio Inc.
The concept is already shaking the technology world. The Social Radio won AppCircus Buenos Aires 1st prize 2011 and most recently, it's finalist of the Mobile Premier Awards 2011.
With an Android version released two months earlier (Dec 2011), The Social Radio has reached more than 3.000 users that gave the application the astounding qualification of full five-stars in their reviews at the Android Market.
The company's also introducing a web-version of it's technology, available under a invitation-only model. More information at our website.
