[prMac.com] Stockholm, Sweden - Kaiser & Kaiser today is pleased to introduce runWithMe 1.0 for iOS, their new Sports app that allows two runners to run together, even if they are on different continents. Mutually agreeing on a start time and distance, each runner's iPhone periodically announces aloud elapsed time, distance covered, and their running-mate's relative position, ahead or behind. With live voice feedback in English, French, German, or Spanish, the app allows runners to pace each other, remotely, from any location on earth.
Equally effective for any practice or race done outdoors over a distance, such as canoeing, skiing, cycling, etc., runWithMe allows friends to workout together no matter where they are. Based on the built-in GPS technology of the iPhone, the app is easy to set up, and it requires no accounts, registration, or login. Athletes can listen to iPod music while running, and results can be easily uploaded to RunKeeper and Twitter.
* Easy to set up, no accounts or log in

To use, friends agree upon the exact starting time they will use and the approximate distance they will cover. One runner creates a new run with the names of both runners entered into the appropriate fields and specifies an exact starting time (up to a maximum of one hour hence). The other runner selects that run from their list of runs, and waiting until the countdown reaches zero, taps Start Run to begin. Wearing the iPhone on an armband, runners can easily hear periodic announcements of their progress and their position in relation to their friend.
"GPS, Cellular, and Text-to-Speech technologies all converge in one simple app that lets runners experience the camaraderie and motivation of running together," stated Sten Kaiser of Kaiser & Kaiser . "runWithMe makes it easy to run with a friend, wherever and whenever you like."
* Compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S, iPad (1,2,3) Wi-Fi + 3G
* Requires iOS 4.1 or later (iOS 5 tested)
