[prMac.com] London, United Kingdom - The torch is lit, the athletes are ready, and it's time for the games to begin! So what better way to celebrate the UK hosting the world's biggest sporting extravaganza than with some free DLC from one of Britain's favorite apps, Say What You See: The Collection(TM)?
Say What You See: The Collection, has been downloaded over 1 million times from the app store on iPhone, iPod and iPad devices. The free-to-download app asks users to unravel the movie titles and pop star names that are hidden as rebus puzzles in a series of beautifully hand-painted scenes (called Canvases).
The app's creators, Big Ideas Digital, are proud to announce their support of their nation's sporting best with the release of their 'Summer Games' canvas DLC on Thursday 26th July, featuring 50 clever rebus puzzles relating to either sports or athletes. The DLC will be available at no cost to anyone who downloads the app over the next month. The puzzling painting, created by artist Martin Davey, is a tribute to the best of British, featuring caricatured cameos from some of Britain's finest talent, including actors like Jude and models like Katie.
Big Ideas Digital are confident that players will enjoy working out which runner a picture of a bolt holding a "100% mentally sound" banner might represent, or which female tennis player might be illustrated by a picture of a famous Carry On star holding a picture of the planet Venus.
"We're really happy to use Say What You See: The Collection as a way to show our support for our home grown athletic talent" Says David Stevens, Big Ideas Digital MD. "We've think our players will have a lot of fun unraveling these free puzzles - we just hope it's addictive nature doesn't get in the way of our athlete's training!"
The 'Summer Games' canvas DLC will be released for free on Thursday 26th July.
