BookBuddy 4.3 for iOS - Book Management App Expands Database Fields

August 1, 2012 in Books (E)

[] Herzeliya, Israel - Herzeliya, Israel - Kimico today is pleased to announce BookBuddy 4.3 for iOS, an update to their powerful book management application which gives users access to their entire book catalog, anywhere. Using BookBuddy is fun and easy and allows users to quickly find any book in their library, share favorite books and keep track of borrowed ones. The update to this app features improved online updates, and many new book fields, such as: format, length, weight, storage location, reading dates, and more.

Users may manually enter books into BookBuddy, or with a simple scan of a book's barcode or search of Google Books, have a book entered into the system with ease. Once entered into BookBuddy, important information on a book's title, subtitle, author, and publisher, are linked to the book. This makes it very easy for students and researchers to obtain book citations for essays, reports, and theses. Users may also give books a 1 through 5 star rating, obtain more information on a book through a direct weblink to the book page in Google Books, and designate a reading status of Unread, Reading, or Read.

Tracking borrowed books can be frustrating, especially for avid readers who are often swapping books to read. BookBuddy answers the question of to whom a book was loaned. More than a simple database of the books in a user's collection, BookBuddy is an intuitive management tool that allows users to access their library of books as well as locate books loaned to or from others. Users can designate who they have loaned a book to by manually entering a contact name or linking to an existing contact in the user's contact list.
