[prMac.com] Irvine, California - Peacock Bookstores is excited to announce the launch of its first animated iPad app of the famous Indian epic Ramayan. The app is the first in a series of animated, interactive tales to introduce the famous stories of ancient India to the world. In this app, children will be exposed to the Indian culture through the story of a famous Prince and his sacrifices.
It starts with the handsome Ram who marries the love of his life and is successor to the throne of Ayodhya. But his step mother had intentions of making her own son the King. Rama was exiled for more than a decade to live in his forest. During that time, a demon named Ravan kidnaps Rama's wife. But Ram with the help of vast army of monkeys kills the demon.
After showing such courage, his step-mother pleads for Rama to take his thrown. So Rama, his brother, and his bride return to the kingdom to proclaim the throne in an Indian traditional celebration dating back thousands of years.
In fact, the tale is the Indian version of Christmas, or Diwali. It's a religious celebration that honors the victory of good over evil and it's celebrated with lights in an emotional homecoming. So every year, Indian families decorate their town with lights to remember Rama and his wife's historic journey back home.
This is the first in a series of animated Peacock stories to allow parents to teach their children lessons of honor, hope, and morality.
