Note-A-Lator 2.1 Adds Sounds to Note, Interval and Chord Quizzes

April 2, 2013 in Education (E)

[] Boston, Massachusetts - Electric Peel announces Note-A-Lator 2.1 for iOS. Since Note-A-Lator, Electric Peel's music theory app for iPhone and iPad, was released in late 2009, it has become popular with music students and teachers around the world. Note-A-Lator is in use in over 60 countries, in classrooms, private music lessons, and by students at home. Version 2.1 of Note-A-Lator adds sounds to the note, interval and chord identification quizzes.

Note-A-Lator helps students and teachers make customizable music theory quizzes to suit their needs. Users can quiz themselves on notes, rhythms, key signatures, scales and modes, intervals up to one octave, and chords. This makes Note-A-Lator one of the most comprehensive music theory offerings in the App Store. Quizzes can be completed on iOS devices, or printed out for personal or classroom use.

Sounds have been a highly requested feature in Note-A-Lator for some time. Today, Electric Peel is happy to announce that Note-A-Lator now includes piano sounds for the note, interval and chord identification quizzes. Users can now hear the note, interval or chord while they see it on screen; this helps students visually identify notes with the correct sound over time.

Electric Peel is dedicated to making Note-A-Lator available to as many people as possible. To that end, Note-A-Lator is compatible with Apple's VoiceOver technology, which makes iOS devices useable for blind and visually impaired people. Using VoiceOver, visually impaired users can drag a finger over the music to have it read to them. Note-A-Lator is also available in 8 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
