[prMac.com] Wichita, Kansas - Continuing to make good things great, QuickerTek announces the release of the Quicky Junior 3 USB wireless network adaptor, the third generation in Quicky Junior line. We understand that while it's good to stay current, it's also good to improve on current designs. The Quicky Junior 3 is improved in both the physical and electronic arenas. Built with a shorter, more compact design and expanding to the 'a' spectrum of the 802.11 band, it allows older computer users to use newer access points.
Priced at $79.95, the Quicky Junior 3 comes complete with a small USB a/b/g/n remote stand adaptor, giving it more room and flexibility. Redesigned with the antenna actually folding into the body, with the added capability to use the 802.11 a 5.8 Ghz band wireless specification.
The Quicky Junior 3 is built for the MacBook user that needs a little extra boost in power, but doesn't need a full blown system enhancement. It will give up to a threefold increase in power to the internal antenna on your MacBook. It's ideal for large offices or homes where you want to take your MacBook into the backyard and don't want to make an expensive upgrade to your entire network. It can also be used to add desktop computers such as the iMac to a network without having to lay more cable.
The Quicky Junior 3 is smaller and more compact than the previous model, yet maintains the same power. The antenna actually folds into the unit itself, making it sleek and unobtrusive. It's also very simple to use- after the initial installation simply plug it in to any available USB port and start using your network. To utilize all current Apple AirPort Express and Extreme BaseStation as well as most, if not all PC type access points such as Belkin, Cisco, LinkSys, D-Link, and Net Gear.
