[prMac.com] Montreal, Canada - Floop Technologies, a startup created by a group of dedicated video game industry veterans, announces the release of Floop Sharing - a COPPA-compliant sharing platform focused on helping children's app developers connect with parents.
"As game developers and parents, we realize that sharing is an essential component and one we wanted to provide developers to support the recent growth of the creative apps" says Laurent Mascherpa, CEO, Floop. "We have a team of industry veterans coming from Ubisoft, EA and CBC, we unanimously felt there was nothing available in the marketplace that connects parents to what their children are playing with on smartphones."
Floop Sharing features several easy-to-integrate tools that developers use to encourage parents to share their children's in-game creations. With a single click, parents can easily share their child's app experiences and recommendations to Facebook, Twitter or directly by email. Floop is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA) and is proud to announce its partnership with PRIVO, the premier organization trusted with granting "safe harbor" status by the FTC.
"It's clear that the Floop team understands the needs of developers and the obligations around children's privacy and safety online." Denise Tayloe, President & CEO, PRIVO
Floop is also announcing the release of "Facetoon", the first app to implement the Floop Sharing platform. Facetoon, a camera app allowing kids to take a picture of the people around them wearing cool and funny hats, is available for free on the App Store. For more information, visit website.
Floop Sharing is free for developers. To register and start integrating it with your app, visit website. Follow us on twitter at @getfloop to keep up with the latest Floop announcements.
