[prMac.com] Bright-Crayon, LLC has announced the official release of SkyBlue Canvas, a lightweight content management system (CMS) for small business and personal websites. SkyBlue Canvas is not meant to replace any existing CMS but rather to fill a gap in the market for a lightweight content management system.
"We initially developed SkyBlue Canvas to meet the needs of our own small business clients but quickly recognized the need for such a system in the marketplace.", says Scott Lewis, a partner in Bright-Crayon, LLC and the lead developer of the SkyBlue Canvas software. "We designed the system to be intuitive and easy-to-use for end users, while including features that website developers have come to expect including skinnability and extensibility".
SkyBlue Canvas runs on the Apache web server and is written in PHP4. The system can manage multiple websites so only a single instance is needed per web server. For a full feature list, visit http://www.smartsitemanager.com/SkyBlue-Canvas-Features-pg-2.htm
SkyBlue Canvas offers two license options. The first option, a service package for business owners includes site setup and hosting. The second option, for developers, includes a license of the SkyBlue Canvas code.
