Sappi Fine Paper Partners with Project M at HOW Design Conference

[] Boston, Mass - Today Sappi Fine Paper North America announced that it has extended the deadline for entries for the 2009 Ideas that Matter design grant program to the postmarked date of July 31.

To promote this grant program that supports social causes, for the recent HOW Design Conference in Austin, Sappi Fine Paper North America partnered with Project M, to find out the social causes and other ideas that were top of mind among conference attendees through a fun, brainstorm activity held at Sappi's exhibition booth. Separate from the official Ideas that Matter grant program, the activity was held to inspire attendees to submit entries.

Professionals from Project M, an intensive summer design program created by John Bielenberg in 2003 to inspire young designers to use their talents to make a positive impact in the world, helped solicit ideas from HOW Design Conference attendees. Project M will be implementing the winning concept of "Living Life to Its Fullest," by Jenny Leonard, Razviti Creative of Houston, Texas, whose personal experiences include volunteering in Vanuatu to bring sustainable healthcare to the community. Professional designers and HOW Design Conference speakers: Brian Jones, Project M; Peleg Top, Top Design Studio; Michael Osborne, Michael Osborne Design; Mark Randall, World Studio; and Arvi Raquel-Santos, Weymouth Design, served as judges to select the winning concept.

About Ideas that Matter
