WeatherGrids on the App Store - Find the right weather conditions

October 5, 2014 in Weather (F)

[] London, United Kingdom - After the successful launch of Kitesurf Pro (a weather forecast iOS application designed for Kitesurfers), Paz Labs saw a need for a Weather Forecast application that could help any user find the prefered weather conditions, not only KiteSurfers. So we used the knowledge gained from Kitesurf Pro and decided to create a new application that could be used by anyone that monitors the weather.

In most Weather applications today you get forecast details for one place at a time. If you want to see another place, you have to go through a couple of screens. There are a lot of situations where we want to check and compare weather in multiple locations. On each location we have a set of weather conditions that we are looking for (Sunny, no rain, east wind, and more). WeatherGrids has been designed to provide multiple location weather forecasts on one screen and at the same time clearly indicate when and where our preferred weather conditions have been met.

The user can make a list with his favourite places. For each place he can setup his favourite weather conditions. WeatherGrids provides two views daily and detailed. Views contain a grid of cells, each one representing a one hour forecast. When the conditions are met the cells turn green. If the conditions set are not met, the cells have various colours, indicating specific weather conditions (Sunny, cloudy, rain, and more). We used this method to quickly determine the weather in multiple places.

Device Requirements:
