[prMac.com] Westfield, Indiana - Very Alien Productions today is pleased to introduce Volunteerio 1.0 for iOS, their newest app that helps volunteers track their service hours. Volunteerio makes it simple to enter, edit, track, and report volunteer service hours with multiple sponsoring organizations. It is a great app for those curious about how much time is donated. It is a very helpful app for people adding volunteer time to the resumes, including students, stay-at-home-parents, and career changers. It is an essential app for those needing to report volunteer hours as part of job or service organization requirements.
* Easily create new service events
* Donate time to many different organizations
* Filter by organization(s) and date ranges
* Create reports (PDF) and export event data to spreadsheets (CSV)
* Open reports and exports in other apps or share with e-mail, texts, or AirDrop
* Convenient and powerful integration with Apple's Calendar app
The intuitive user interface allows for easily adding service events. Volunteer hours can be assigned to various sponsoring organizations, which can be effortlessly defined ahead of time. However, Volunteerio is smart enough to create a new organization while the user is entering a new event. To help with time reporting, the user can add a filter to track hours by organization, as well as by date range.
The app becomes the volunteer's buddy by creating PDF reports and exporting detailed data to spreadsheets. The user can open those in PDF readers or spreadsheet apps, or can share them via e-mail, texting, or AirDrop.
Calendar integration adds even more convenience and powerful features. If a user is planning ahead by entering future service hours, there is an easy option to add the volunteer event to the iOS calendar. If the user prefers having Apple's Calendar app track service events, those can be easily imported into Volunteerio by adding a simple #tag to the calendar event's Notes field.
"The idea of Volunteerio came to me when I was watching my kids record volunteer hours on paper for their school's chapter of the National Junior Honor Society," says Jim Parshall, founder of Very Alien Productions. "I saw an opportunity to create a simple, yet powerful, tool to help with this tracking and reporting. And so, we're very excited about the launch of Volunteerio. It's our way of making the world a better place ... one hour at a time."
