PhotoUpLink for iPhoto '08 adds metadata support

[] Oakland, CA August 13, 2007 - Developer Mark Morris today announced that PhotoUpLink for iPhoto ‘08 is available and can be downloaded and purchased from All users of PhotoUpLink who have upgraded to iLife ’08 should download the new version for continued functionality, and access to new features.

“With Apple’s new plugin interface support in iPhoto ’08, it is now possible to access more data about individual images ", said PhotoUpLink creator and author Mark Morris from Jack London Square. PhotoUpLink for iPhoto ’08 uses this information to enhance the database creation process from image libraries. Both Excel spreadsheets and SQL databases created using PhotoUpLink now have expanded entries for all EXIF information available from iPhoto, in sortable, searchable column entries.

The rest of PhotoUpLink’s features are fully compatible with iPhoto ’08. Both FTP and secure FTP exports can create notification emails that trigger automatic downloading by recipients, using any FTP server. PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets can be created from iPhoto libraries with Office X or Office 2004. Any ODBC data source can be exported to that supports binary large objects, including MySQL, Oracle, IBM DB 2 or Microsoft SQL Server.
