[prMac.com] Paris, France - Amande & Pierre today is thrilled to announce the release of TAZ 1.0, their new puzzle game for iPhone and iPod touch devices. The name TAZ means Try to go from A to Z. That's why there is 26 levels that you need to complete in order to achieve the final goal, reaching Z. And in order to solve one level, you have to combine the right pieces to recompose the letter.
TAZ aims to bring the aesthetic of typography to your iOS device. Each level is associated to a specific font, for instance the level A is associated with the font "Helvetica Neue." Then the level screen is divided into geometric shapes. You can switch a puzzle piece displayed by a geometric shape by tapping on it. Finally, to solve a level you will need to find all the puzzle pieces that match the associated level font.
While progressing through the game, players will find some additional elements: such as magnets, bonuses and maluses. A magnet will attract the letter in order to find the solution more easily. A bonus can be used to temporally reveal the solution. A bonus lasts 5 seconds, so the player can try to reproduce the pieces they have memorized. And a malus will shuffle all the puzzle pieces so that the player will start over the level.
