KeyShade Password Manager Released for Mac and iOS

August 16, 2016 in Utility (E)

[] Moraga, California - Independent development house Rayner Software is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of KeyShade 1.0, an important new entry in the field of personal password and information managers.

KeyShade is a secure, encrypted database for managing website logins, bank accounts, credit cards, and notes. It's a safe repository for the most sensitive information. Everything in KeyShade is protected by a single master password. After migrating to KeyShade, the master password becomes the only password a user will need to remember.

KeyShade's hallmark feature may be its simplicity. In the Mac version, KeyShade's entire user interface exists within one menu on the menubar. This makes it readily accessible at all times, yet non-intrusive when not being used. The iOS version is also a minimalistic experience.

"We wrote KeyShade because it was an app we wanted for ourselves," says Rayner Software owner Tyler Rayner. "There's no shortage of password manager apps, but it seemed that none of them really hit the sweet spot between simplicity and features. I wanted something minimal, non-flashy, inexpensive, secure and reliable. I couldn't find an app that hit high marks on all of those criteria, so we made the decision to write KeyShade."

* Cross-platform Mac and iOS
* Minimalistic UI that gets out of your way
* Store passwords, credit cards, bank account numbers, and secure notes
* Automatic backups
* Cross-device syncing
* Very high security

Behind KeyShade's minimalistic facade lies a robust internal architecture designed for maximum security and data protection. "Too often in software, security is added as an afterthought," says Rayner. "In KeyShade, security was taken into consideration from the very beginning, and along every step of the design and development process. We believe KeyShade's security credentials put it among the most robust information managers in existence."

KeyShade was designed from the ground up to seamlessly integrate with its cloud service, KeyShade Sync. This service provides versioned backups, as well as cross-device syncing. Each update to your database is saved as a new version on the server, allowing you to roll back to a previous version if needed. If using KeyShade on multiple devices, changes propagate across your devices. This is also useful for families who want to share the same list of passwords and data.

Device Requirements:
* KeyShade for iOS: iOS 8.3 or higher
* KeyShade for Mac: macOS 10.8 or higher

Pricing and Availability:
KeyShade is a free app, with optional KeyShade Sync service for $19/year (USD). KeyShade Sync includes a 30 day free trial. After the trial expires, the sync subscription is optional. KeyShade will never lock a user out of their password database because of an expired subscription.
