[prMac.com] Christchurch, New Zealand - Ivan Mackintosh, author of the popular WhatBirdNZ and Dynamate logic puzzler iPhone applications has released Dynamate Christmas Edition, a seasonal variation of his currently available Dynamate game. The Dynamate puzzle genre has been around for a few years and is available on many handheld gaming devices, however, it excels on the iPhone and iPod Touch due to the ease of control utilising the device's touch screen.
The goal of Dynamate is to remove all of the balls from gameplay which is achieved by sliding them into each other. This sounds simple but the balls are colour coded and specific colours must be used to remove other colours. For example, sliding a green ball into a blue ball will remove them both but sliding the blue into the green will not. The levels get progressively harder and the fun really starts on the later levels with the introduction of teleports, sliding walls and colour changers.
The Christmas Edition has 32 new levels all designed around the festive theme. The graphics have had a major revamp and are now beautifully drawn cartoon graphics that include Santa Claus, Rudolph the Reindeer and a grumpy Elf called Barry. Rudolph keeps an eye on you as you play the game and if you should get stuck you can simply tap him for a helpful hint.
As an additional challenge there is an achievements table which sets the target number of moves for each level. Santa awards you a medal for each achievement. Can you get all golds?
* iPhone or iPod Touch 2.2.1 or later
Pricing and Availability:
The full version of Dynamate Christmas Edition is only $0.99 (USD). A Lite version will be available shortly.
