[prMac.com] Seattle, Washington - Makeshift Games today announced the release of iPhone app, Depict which hit the iTunes App Store on December 14th, 2009. Depict is a Pictionary-like drawing game that lets players compete with friends and strangers around the world. It's the first and only multiplayer game to leverage OpenFeint and SmartFox Server to connect friends from Facebook, Twitter, and other OpenFeint games.
Depict is a multiplayer drawing game that tests players' ability to solve simple drawing puzzles. In each round, a puzzle containing up to six words is presented to the drawer and the guessers. The drawer's job is to draw something that will get everyone else to guess the correct word. When guessing, the goal is to tap the correct answer before your fellow players to earn the most points.
When players open the app, they select either global play or a private, friends-only game. Global play instantly pairs the player with an active game for fast action. Friends-only can be used to start an invite-only game, or to play solo against saved drawings created by other players. While in a friends-only game, players can view their OpenFeint friends' online status and invite friends to play with a single touch.
"Our goal was to create a fast and fun drawing game with lasting appeal." said James. "We hope people will come back to this game whenever they have five minutes to spare."
