[prMac.com] Dolgoprudny, Russia - Coding Robots today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Memoires 3.0, a new major version of the journal software for Mac OS X. Memoires is an easy-to-use application to keep offline personal journals or diaries on Mac. Users can create multiple journals, write rich entries, which can include pictures and other types of files, and browse them using calendar or instant search. The program can encrypt journals using AES cipher.
The new version includes Quick Drawings feature, that allows users to create sketches using mouse or trackpad and insert them into journal entries. In addition to RTF and plain text exporting, Memoires 3.0 can now export journals to PDF format. Users can also print single entries, entries for a specified period of time, or the whole journal.
Version 3.0 improves support for Mac OS X 10.6 features, such as grammar checking, automatic correction of spelling errors, smart quotes and dashes, text substitutions, and data detectors. The Universal binary now includes 64-bit version. To help users stay more focused on writing their journal entries, Memoires now includes the full screen editing mode.
Memoires uses the industry-standard SQLite database as file format instead of a vendor-specific one, so there is no lock-in of user's data. Coding Robots are commited to open and interchangable formats to help users keep their data as long as their like, which is especially important for diaries and journals.
Pricing and Availability:
Memoires 3.0 is available for $29.95 (USD) for a single license, or $49.95 for a family pack from the online store. Free trial version is available for download from the product website. The program requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or later.
