World Record Texting Speed App - iTextFast
April 6, 2011 in Entertainment
[prMac.com] Denham Springs, Louisiana - SKH Apps is releasing iTextFast for iPhone/iPod touch this Wednesday, April 6, 2011. iTextFast allows users to find out how fast they can text popular acronym's and phrases along with the world record paragraph used by Guinness Book of World Records to test texting speed. Users will get to see how fast they can text words and phrases like: omg, ttyl, im omw home, the alphabet and more. The application also provides Game Center leaderboards where users can compare scores with other users all over the globe. They will even be able to see how well they do compared to the world record holder of texting.
On each level, the user tries to text a word or phrase as fast as they can. They see the text for the level and click ready. A timer starts counting down from 3. As soon as it reads GO!, the user must tap into a text field at the bottom of the screen and begin typing. After they text the word or phrase as quickly as possible, they must hit the send button or the return key on the keyboard the same way you would when texting.
If each letter is entered correctly, they are given a time and have a choice of trying again to get a faster time or going to the next level. New best scores are identified and recorded for each level. Correctly entering the text on each level unlocks the next subsequent level. Each level increases slightly in difficulty. The last level is a paragraph used by the Guinness Book of World Records to test the texting speed of individuals on touchscreen phones.
