[prMac.com] London, United Kingdom - PS Ventures Limited today announced that their new app, Walking GPS for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is now available as a free download from Apple's App Store.
Walking GPS is a great new tool that allows walkers to see where they are, where they've been, how far they've travelled and how long it's taken plus a range of other useful data, all in one free app.
Users can see their current latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, course, bearing and location accuracy all on one handy screen along with distance and time walked with an average speed and pace. The built in map also plots a line to show the user where they have walked.
Distance fields can be viewed in miles, kilometres, metres and feet. Speed fields can be viewed in miles per hour, kilometres per hour, metres per second and feet per second.
Designed for walking, it would work just as well for cycling, running or any other activity where location tracking is important.
PS Ventures Limited director Philip Simpson commented "We're very excited to be bringing such a comprehensive GPS walking tool to the market as a free app. We've built on the success of our previous app 'GPS Device Data' which has already been downloaded over 70,000 times and added new data fields and a clever new map to show users where they have been to help them plan the rest of their walk."
