[prMac.com] Castro Valley, California - Fortunate Bear today announced the launch of the Hearts & Tactics, a website about the card game of hearts with a special emphasis on strategy. Currently there are about two dozen iPhone hearts games in Apple's App Store and countless online versions, but very little information is available on how to play hearts well. Hearts & Tactics provides a place where gamers of any skill level can gather to talk and improve their hearts game.
What sets Hearts & Tactics apart is the tactics section, which contains in-depth strategy for every part of the game from passing, playing, shooting the moon, and preventing an opponent from shooting the moon. The tactics presented range from beginner all the way to expert. Regardless of skill level, Hearts & Tactics will offer ways to improve a player's game.
Hearts & Tactics is a dynamic website featuring a discussion forum where players can talk about strategy, where to play hearts, or how to play their favorite variation of hearts. As new strategies or tactics are discussed, the results will be integrated into the main tactics section, keeping the section up to date with the best ways to play. The Hearts & Tactics blog will keep visitors current with website changes, and announce hearts game releases and other hearts related news.
In addition to tactics, Hearts & Tactics offers other information on the card game of hearts. This includes the standard rules of how to play hearts as well as several of the common variations, such as spot, omnibus, and partner hearts. There is also a brief history of hearts, and a section on common terms for those new to the game.
Ultimately, the purpose of Hearts & Tactics is more than just the dissemination of information. "I created Hearts & Tactics in order to further the game of hearts. There are so many ways play hearts on your iPhone these days, but not many ways to improve your ability to win or better enjoy the game. Hearts & Tactics addresses that," commented Fortunate Bear president Andy Finnell.
