Dolly Drive Follows iCloud Release with Its Own Upgrades

[prMac.com] Miami, Florida - Cirrus Thinking, makers of the Dolly Drive, online backup for Apple's Time Machine, has released its version 1.4. The upgrades are optimized for Mac's OS X Lion 10.7.2 which Apple also released on Wednesday. Dolly Drive 1.4 includes File Vault integration and a scheduler for Dolly Clone as well as full compatibility with iCloud enabled Mac laptops and desktops.

Dolly Drive creator Anthony Palermo announced the version 1.4 upgrades at the Apple Specialists Marketing Conference in Miami, while also highlighting some of the company's upcoming new technologies including online storage capabilities and a new auto-archiving and backup software featuring a new simplified user-interface with seamless integration. Dolly Drive was named Best Software and Best of Show at MacWorld 2011 by MacLife Magazine.

"Dolly Drive will soon be the most complete, all-in-one online storage, backup, disaster recovery and file-sharing offering on the market and it is 100% built for the Mac experience," said Anthony Palermo. "The fusion of Dolly Drive and Apple's OS X Lion offers people who love their Mac backup and storage as well as compatibility with iCloud."

Dolly Drive is a subscription software and online storage service designed for Apple's Time Machine. In addition to providing Mac users offsite cloud storage directly through the Time Machine application, the application allows users to create a bootable clone of their Mac on an external hard drive for local disaster recovery. It works with Apple's Lion and Snow Leopard platforms.

Cirrus Thinking was founded in 2009 by a pair of passionate Apple fans with the goal of delivering the critical advantages of cloud services to Apple users at the consumer, small businesses and enterprise levels.
