in News (E)

[] New York - India Today Group is working with New York based global digital newsstand Magzter to launch multiple apps on Apple's iOS5 Newsstand. Each India Today Group magazine available on Magzter now has a fully functional app on the Apple Newsstand powered by Magzter. These titles include:

* India Today
* Men's Health
* Business Today
* Money Today
* Gadgets & Gizmos
* India Today Travel Plus
* India Today (Tamil)
* India Today (Hindi)
* India Today (Telugu)
* India Today (Malayalam)

Through rapid launch with Magzter, India Today Group has 3% of all the titles available on the Apple Newsstand as of Nov 8, 2011. Magzter's Newsstand apps are fully compliant with Apple guidelines and allow users to browse, preview, purchase single issues, purchase archived issues or buy an annual subscription. Magzter's self-service tools allow each magazine team to "go live" to a global audience in a matter of minutes and are available digitally even before the print versions hit the stands.

This has prompted Apple to prominently feature India Today on the Newsstand and rank India Today as the #1 (free) app in their "news" AND their "newsstand" sections.

The immediate impact of this has been a 600% increase in digital sales across titles for India Today Group. Majority of these have come from a global audience that, till now, did not have access to India Today Group titles.

These apps work on iPads AND iPhones which are iOS5 updated.

India Today Group has pioneered the use of multi-media and interactive clips and this is one of the big draws for users to their content powered by Magzter.

Access to regional titles in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam has brought consumers swarming for their favourite vernacular publications - a diaspora effect that is just the tip of the iceberg in the digital paradigm created by Magzter and Apple's Newsstand.

Magzter's Newsstand apps work seamlessly as a channel for Magzter users to access their content through Apple while providing the superlative features of the Magzter platform from behind the scenes.
