[prMac.com] Cirencester, Glos, United Kingdom - Neon Play, the UK's #1 independent mobile games studio, has won its tenth award in only six months after CEO and founder Oli Christie was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the National Chamber of Commerce Awards.
The Cirencester-based start-up previously found success at the regional South West Chamber Awards winning in three categories: Most Promising New Business, Most Innovative Business and Entrepreneur of the Year. Winners from the regional awards went on to compete against each other at the National Chamber Awards in London.
The award tops a fine first 19 months for the mobile games firm which has been gaining local and national recognition from a number of business publications and organisations. Other notable accomplishments in 2011 include Start-up of the Year at the Nectar Business Awards - awarded by a panel led by business woman and star of BBC 1's The Apprentice Karren Brady - and being included in Smarta's 100 Top Small Businesses and Mobile Entertainment's Top 50 Mobile Innovators.
"We cannot believe how many awards we've won in the last few months," said Oli Christie, CEO of Neon Play. "Not only have we gained recognition at a local level with awards at the Cirencester and Gloucestershire Business Awards but we seem to have made an impact at some huge national events, including those run by Nectar and the British Chamber of Commerce. You don't go into business to win awards but it's really encouraging to get such fantastic support from your peers."
This week Neon Play will contest the Mobile Business of the Year award at the Startups Awards. The awards ceremony takes place on December 2nd at Kensington Roof Gardens.
