A game only gets a single one-year anniversary on the App Store

in Games

[prMac.com] Carmel, California - Ascendancy(TM) by Logic Factory turns one today on the App Store. Their sci-fi strategy game is Universal: one App supports iPhone(R), iPod touch(R) (3rd/4th gen), and iPad(TM), Logic Factory offers temporary 80% discount in celebration. From today, Thursday, January 5th, through the weekend, customers can enjoy a discount from the usual USD $4.99 price to 99 cents.

Ascendancy has received rave reviews from early adopters and the press all over the world. It has hit number 1 in multiple territories' App Store strategy and simulation charts. After several major free updates, Logic Factory has decided to get the word out to a whole new wave of customers by offering a temporary 80% discount off the usual price.

"Small, independent developers like us are thriving in this new mobile gaming sector where Triple-A quality has a chance to shine," said Todd Templeman, CEO of Logic Factory. "But getting the word out to new fans is always a challenge. Our motto is 'Just Play.' We don't do in-game advertising. We don't pay for third-party marketing campaigns that offer the temptation to young customers to become shills for products that may not deserve their praise. We don't allow non-game popups to interrupt the mood of gameplay. We want customers to just play when enjoying our games. So why not give new fans a reason to try it out?"

Logic Factory creates original, Triple-A gaming content for the global market, and is in the midst of working on new free updates for Ascendancy, new games for the iTunes App Store, and will be localizing their catalogue of content into key languages in the coming year.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 4.1 or later
* 41.5 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Ascendancy 3.2.2 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.

Located in Carmel, California, Logic Factory was founded by two brothers, Jason and Todd Templeman, as a completely independent developer devoted to quality.
