[prMac.com] Tucson, Arizona - This isn't your grandmother's word game. No turn based play here, just fast paced, fastest fingers win, exciting game play.

BattleBog is a fast paced, high energy word game playable in three game types:

Regular:
Play against a timer. You get a base time of 5 minutes, plus 1 minute for Normal and 2 for Easy to score as many points as possible.

Ladder:
Accomplish goals in the given time. But watch out for random shuffles, blank tiles and locked value tiles.

Head To Head:
2 players play against one another via bluetooth and Game Center. You play with the same letters and have 5 minutes + 1 for Normal and 2 for easy mode. Each time you get a word it shuffles those tiles on both devices. Steal words from your challenger, but watch out they can do the same.

BattleBog features 22 groups of 3 achievements each based on game mode: Easy, Normal, Hard. BattleBog offers several leader boards including Highest score, Lifetime word count and Lifetime wins. Game play offers 5 possible "Powerups", Multiplier Bonus, Jump Tiles, Reuse Tiles, Lock Tiles and Shuffle board.

With the multiplier bonus you can rocket in to the lead against another player. Jump tiles lets you jump from the connected tiles to a new letter for extra scoring power. Reuse Tile, this lets you use the same tile a second time in the same word. Lock tiles prevents shuffles from affecting you one time. Shuffle Board. No words? Hey, shuffle the board.

BattleBog features a fun techno sound track, and subtle sound effects.

BattleBog is completely skinable. A demo theme and instructions are included and available from iTunes document sharing. BattleBog has three built in skins, Default (aka. Glass), Steps (Harkening back to the days of NeXTSTEP OS) and Bamboo for a earthy wooden look. BattleBog features plugable level packages, meaning the challenge will never end. FOR neXtSoft will regularly release new level sets with updates and FOR FREE on the web.
