[prMac.com] Moscow, Russian Federation - Darktau today is pleased to announce Dossier 1.2.4, the first major update to Dossier - The Note Organizer. Dossier, which has been featured among Apple's productivity apps, continues to help people make their communication more effective.
This release converts Dossier into a universal app for both iPhone and iPad users. In bringing you this revision, we focused on two areas: ease of note-taking, and ease of note-retrieval. We've made it even easier to find everything in the Dossier, and every list now includes a SearchBar, allowing you to look for folders, people, tags or notes at any time..
As in previous releases, the main feature is Dossier's integration with Contacts and the ability to attach notes to records in your address book. (Dossier does not copy, send or modify any data inside your Address Book; Dossier makes and organizes notes, associating them with contact records.) This release of Dossier integrates similar functionality with iCal, automatically creating notes for events on the calendar. For those times when you can't take notes during a meeting or other calendar event, Dossier creates an automatically prepared note in "Calendar Entries" for later completion. For meeting requests done through iCal, Dossier even links the note with the meeting attendees from your contacts.
Augmenting the existing Folders and Personal Files, we have added two new ways to organize your notes: Tags and Favorites. Notes marked with a custom Tag are quickly and easily accessible in the Tags section of Dossier. Folders, people, and Tags marked as Favorites can now be found quickly on the first page of the Dossier.
Dossier can still attach files (Office, iWork, PDF, RTF) to your notes, making Dossier not just an app for taking notes, but a complete personal information manager that you have at your fingertips.
Coming Soon: The next major update of Dossier will feature iCloud syncing and voice memos.
Discontinuation: We have discontinued support for the outdated standalone application "Dossier for iPhone," and ask that owners of "Dossier for iPhone" contact us by e-mail.
