New iOS app Air Chalk digitizes chalkboard for teachers

[prMac.com] San Francisco, California - Sheng Apps has released Air Chalk, an iOS app for educators teaching or presenting in class.

The developer describes Air Chalk as a "digital chalkboard." With Air Chalk, it is now possible to conduct an entire class using a mobile device such as iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Teachers can draw or write text into their mobile device, and the content gets displayed onto a projector screen. A distinct feature that separates Air Chalk from other iOS drawing or whiteboard apps is that it supports wireless connection. A presenter can connect one iOS device (or a computer) to a projector, and use another iOS device to write or draw. The content is remotely displayed via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This setup gives the presenter more freedom to move around in the room.

Air Chalk also has some nice features to help presenters save, edit, organize, and share their chalkboards. Boards are automatically saved, and previously drawn boards can be re-created in a later presentation. Users can organize their boards into folders based on their topics. Air Chalk also supports AirPrint to print folder content and boards as PDF files.

Air Chalk supports iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch). Free Windows and Mac software for Air Chalk can be downloaded from the app's homepage.
