AppActions releases matchTag for Mac OS X
April 9, 2012 in iTunes
[prMac.com] Ilsede, Germany - AppActions today is pleased to announce the release of matchTag for Mac OS X. Users of iTunes Match exchanging their own music files with those stored in the iCloud will find that although their files are loaded correctly, the title information remains unchanged. matchTag has been developed to fill this gap. It can retrieve and insert the missing information (either completely or selectively) from the iTunes Store.
New matchTag app now available. Apple gives iTunes Match customers the opportunity to replace their existing music files with higher quality ones in 256 Kbit/s AAC format without DRM protection. To do so, iTunes Match searches for the files and marks them as "found". These are then deleted and downloaded again from the iCloud. However, the original title information remains unchanged. This is the reason why matchTag has been developed.
It facilitates the iTunes ID that was written into the new file during download and allows for either individual tags or for the whole set to be amended or replaced. It also has an option to download a cover image thumbnail.
* Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
