[prMac.com] Seattle, Washington - SeedCode today is thrilled to announce our new Free Calendar Template for FileMaker 12. We've rewritten the free calendar to take advantage of some of the new things in FileMaker 12, including the new look and feel, but perhaps most importantly, the new ExecuteSQL function.
"The changes brought in FileMaker 12's ExecuteSQL function make the new calendar simpler, less dependent on context, and easier to integrate," says John Sindelar of SeedCode. "This may be the most exciting thing about FileMaker 12".
The free calendar is a completely unlocked calendar template that folks can paste into their own solutions. This may be all the calendar some people need and it's a great way to start playing with FileMaker 12. It's also a nice starting point for getting to know our Pro Calendars, which offer drag-and-drop, resource scheduling, and other features not found in the free calendar.
All SeedCode calendars are unlocked for you to modify and extend; they are built solely in FileMaker Pro, require no plugins, and have layouts optimized for FileMaker Go on iPad.
Along with our Free Calendar, SeedCode's other products are all FileMaker 12 compatible. Most SeedCode products you already have will convert to 12 with no issues at all: FileMaker has done a great job on the conversion. A few products will need a small change here and there: you'll want to edit a couple scripts in GoZync, for example, and you'll need new installers for putting Zulu on your FileMaker Server.
You'll find everything you need, including new installers for Zulu here on our FileMaker 12 Compatibility page.
SeedCode has been building FileMaker Pro calendars since 2001 and is recognized as a leader in design, documentation, and development best practices. He received the 2004 FileMaker Excellence Award for 'Developing Outstanding Technical Resources for the FileMaker Pro Community.' SeedCode's calendar won the 2010 FileMaker Excellence Award for "Solution of the Year". Copyright (C) 2012 SeedCode. All Rights Reserved.
