Shared Paper Lite: Try Digital Paper, Collaborate Between iPads for Free

in Productivity (E)

[] London, United Kingdom - Announcing the release of Shared Paper Lite - try out the collaborative digital sketching and drawing app for iPad, Shared Paper, as well as join a shared workspace session hosted by a full version of Shared Paper, at zero cost. Up to 15 iPads running Shared Paper Lite can connect wirelessly to an iPad running the full version of Shared Paper to draw, sketch and design on a seemingly endless shared whiteboard. This now enables a collaborative workspace of up to 16 iPads to be created for the cost of a single Shared Paper licence.

The lite version of Shared Paper is free, but still packs a punch and includes all the key functions of the full version, Shared Paper, and is only limited in the number of objects and papers that can be created when used in standalone mode. (In collaboration mode, object limits are removed). It's a great way to test out Shared Paper's ease of use and powerful productivity for quick sketching and accurate drawing on a digital canvas which can be scrolled and zoomed freely seemingly forever in all directions, giving amazing freedom for creativity. The presentation editor is also included in the lite version, so drawings, sketches, images and text spread out over the digital whiteboard can be summarised and presented as an interactive slideshow on the iPad or to an external display via cable or Airplay.

In addition Shared Paper Lite can be used to join a shared whiteboard between iPads at no additional cost and minimum of hassle. This is ideal for brainstorming and teamwork with friends, colleagues or fellow students. Any iPad user running the full version of Shared Paper can invite up to 15 additional iPads to join a session wirelessly. They just need to download the free lite version and connect and join the project. When connected, any object count limits on lite versions are lifted, so any size of project can be shared.

"Everyone should try Shared Paper Lite, " says Nigel Jenkins of developer Nebulus Design. "It's a great way to take what's on your mind and put it down on digital paper and share it with others. It's also really quick and easy to pick up and of course free, but what people also find is that it is also great fun and actually very powerful, so if you want to do something more detailed or sophisticated, those capabilities are there too."

David Hughes, co-developer also comments, "Being able to use a group of iPads to create impromptu shared workspaces is now so easy and cost effective. With both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity this also means you can connect to other iPads just about anywhere, in a lobby, lecture theatre, meeting room or even in the park. It's like having a conference room in your iPad!"
