[prMac.com] Cologne, Germany - Independent developer, Harry Schlangmann has released Harry’s LapTimer 15.0.2, an update to his popular sports timer app for iOS devices. Harry's LapTimer transforms any iPhone into a professional GPS data recording tool and works fully automated with start and stop triggers for any race circuit worldwide. While on track, it displays on-screen track and position overview, real time speed and g-force information in precision quality. In parallel, a fully automated video can be recorded, showing the driver's perspective of the circuit.
The data recording builds up personal track histories including all kinds of useful lap data - extendable by integration of external devices like OBD II to add data as gear, shift light, coolant temperature, and revs. The recorded videos are enriched with graphical information like circuit track and personal position indication as well as numeric data information like speed, and g-force information - all done via overlay technology to keep the full image of the recorded video.
Analytic tools measure driving habits in full detail for each sector and offer graphical presentations to learn from. By comparing track histories on sector level, an indication of the currently best-combined lap is calculated, which can be used as on screen challenge for the next lap.
