[prMac.com] Swansea, United Kingdom - Reinvented Software announces the release of Together 2.6 for Mac OS X today. Together is an application for storing, previewing, editing and searching all kinds of files. Version 2.6 introduces an updated user interface, Retina graphics, improvements for working with linked files, email indexing and more.
Together 2.6's user interface has been updated with a new, more functional toolbar, more room for content and the cleaner appearance of apps in the latest versions of OS X. Version 2.6 also includes Retina graphics that will look crisp on the latest Apple hardware.
Also in 2.6, Together improves working with linked files, so that the original files can be renamed when renaming in Together, and the addition of the reverse functionality, where files can be moved to Together's library with aliases put in the original locations. This new feature also works for folders.
Additionally, Together includes improved performance and memory use when indexing mail messages, allows the Shelf to be resized from all sides, removes support for the now discontinued MobileMe service and prepares the app for OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
Version 2.6 is a free upgrade for all registered Together 2.x users. A full license costs $39.95 and upgrades from KIT 1.x are $14.95. A 15-day trial that can be unlocked upon purchase is available for download and Education and bulk discounts are also available through the Reinvented Software site.
