Eye For Color: Creative Color Comparison Puzzle Game Launches for iPhone

[prMac.com] Los Angeles, California - Ellery Ortiz today announces the release of Eye For Color, the new iPhone game with unique and creative puzzles, challenging a player's ability to differentiate between colors of slightly varying hues and values. The game is available as a free LITE version and paid FULL version. The full version features 2 play modes, 31 challenging levels, gradient puzzles from 10 to 40 colors, custom game play options and much more.

In Eye For Color, players fill in a gradient of colors as quickly as possible, scoring points for speed and accuracy. Is it teal or turquoise? Peach or pink? The goal is to arrange the tiles between the key colors so they form a smooth gradient from one color to the next, like a rainbow.

Adding to the challenge is the constant harassment of explosions that threaten to destroy any work already done.

At the start of Eye For Color, colored tiles rain down and players race to put them in the right order before time runs out. Many of the colored tiles require a closer look - is it more blue or green? Red or purple? It will take a careful eye and quick hand to arrange the tiles correctly.

As players shuffle around the tiles, time ticks down on the fuse. Take too long and the bomb will explode, knocking any unlocked tiles back to the ground. As players advance through the levels, the puzzles become more challenging and the bombs grow larger - from dynamite to C4 to nuke.

Each level starts with a preset number of locks. Use them to protect the loaded colors from explosions - but run out of locks and any work done is vulnerable.

As time ticks down, the pressure builds, locks run out and bombs blast all the chips off of the color bar, ending the game.

Eye For Color can be customized with favorite colors and various levels of difficulty. In a Custom Game, users can pick 2, 3 or 4 key colors (or use random colors) for a bigger challenge.

Players can also get valuable extras to help them with the game. Earn bonus points and additional Locks for playing precisely and carefully. Along with lock abilities, they can use a Defuse Skill for resetting the bomb's fuse. This will give the player a few extra seconds of much needed breathing room. While this skill is extremely rare in the game, it can be acquired as an in-app purchase any time.
