[prMac.com] Brisbane, Australia - Independent iOS developer Nigel Green is pleased to announce the immediate availability of QikCalc Length Converter v1.1 on the App Store. As part of a series of conversion apps, QikCalc Length Converter shares an interface design that provides instant user feedback. There are no dials to turn or switches to flip - simply choose the units, type a number and get an instant answer. QikCalc Length Converter contains 10 different length units (4 metric and 6 imperial) and is available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
Developer Nigel Green said that he used this same simplicity in his tried-and-true interface that he first designed for his very successful cooking conversion app, CookCalc. "The interface allows people of any age to instantly get their answers, without needing to do anything more than touch two buttons (the to/from units) and enter the amount they want to convert." he said.
Upon launching the app there is no loading screen. In just over a second, the app is ready to start converting. Not including converting to/from the same units, QikCalc Length Converter can perform up to 90 different calculations.
