[prMac.com] Roswell, Georgia - Sleepy Dog Software today is pleased to introduce EvalueMate 1.0 for iOS, their new app that is designed as a portable, virtual assistant whenever doing inspections, evaluations, walk-throughs, checklists, or punch lists. Customizable for any kind of evaluation, whether business or personal, the app's dynamic templates help guide users through the process but can be easily modified on-site to fit the task. EvalueMate features printable PDF reports with notes & photos, sharing of reports and templates, cost tracking, and 100% off-line operation. As all data, templates, and reports are stored within the app, there is no website to sign up on and no monthly fees to pay.
* Dynamic Templates - add items to your evaluation and/or save new items permanently to a template
* Versatile - templates can handle almost anything; all categories are user-definable
* Sharing - email templates and evaluations
* Shoot live photos on-site to illustrate items in the evaluation/report
* Unlimited notes and photos on any item
* No Fees - no monthly or per item fee to publish reports
* Cost Tracking - items can have a cost associated, so an estimated cost can be reported for all items that have a problem
* PDF Report - produce a PDF report that contains all the photos, notes and issues found, plus an Estimated Cost report if items had costs
* Report History - maintains a history of previous reports so users can compare and look for fixes/improvements
EvalueMate’s templates help guide users through the process but they do not restrict them. Evaluators can add items from the template or new items as needed, and can even add a newly created item as a permanent addition to the template. Users can also easily build new templates for later reuse. Items in the template can have info blurbs to help with additional information, such as what is an acceptable height or what the color of the exhaust might mean. Templates are not just flat lists, as items can be nested within each other. This flexible, hierarchical structure makes EvalueMate templates the perfect means for organizing and recording information.
After having created and refined a new template, EvalueMate users can share it with others, so they can use it in their own copy of the app. Ideal for standard company checklists, a master template can be shared among large groups. Similarly, Evaluations can also be shared. For example, if a co-worker needs to follow up on a punch list, emailing the evaluation includes all the photos and notes of the original.
The ability to supplement any evaluation with limitless notes and photos is invaluable, since a simple yes/no is often insufficient to explain an item. And reports supported by these notes and photos are significantly more useful for both evaluators and those who review the report. Since all functions and data are self-contained within the app, there is no membership, signup, or website to join, and no monthly fees. Full offline operation means the app is always available, in any location, whether an Internet connection is available or not.
EvalueMate is extremely versatile, and its template design can accommodate a very wide variety of tasks. Because of their hierarchical structure, templates can include as much detail as necessary, and they will still be clear and concise. The app includes three sample templates from widely disparate fields, which users can modify for their needs or employ as models.
Built-In Sample Templates
* Move In/Move Out - inspect a rental property for a tenant moving in or out
* Car Inspection - evaluate a used car looking for any problems
* Labrador Retriever Breed Conformation - evaluate a dog against the breed standard
With Cost Tracking, items can have a cost assigned to them that appears if necessary. When finished and the report is generated, the user already has an estimated cost ready to go. Finally, EvalueMate pulls all of the information together into a formatted, print-ready PDF report. The report contains all of the photos and notes, plus any questions, concerns, discrepancies, etc. And if any item at issue had a cost assigned to it, the report includes an estimated cost page at the end. Previous versions of reports are kept, so as users update the evaluation - especially using it as a punch list - they can easily refer back to earlier versions so that they can see if progress is being made.
"EvalueMate will help guide you through an inspection (evaluation, walkthrough, etc.) with pre-built templates," commented Eric Eason of Sleepy Dog Software. "However, since nothing ever fits exactly every time, it is really easy to modify the template on the fly. For example, imagine you never came across a wood-burning oven in a kitchen before. You can just add it as a new item and even add sub-items to it (like cleanliness or chimney seals). If you think you might encounter it again, you can convert the item from the evaluation to a template item. So it will always be there in the future if you want to add it in."
