[prMac.com] Coral Springs, Florida - Kwiksher is pleased to announce the release of Kwik 2.1, an update of the original Kwik plugin for Adobe Photoshop CS5 and higher. Kwik 2 simplifies the process of creating interactive, animated content for iOS and Android devices. Release 2.1 features an array of additional offerings including new controls for drag and drop scenarios, improved group management, the ability to copy and paste interactions between pages, and the easy addition of new pre-made components that enable static Photoshop compositions to become mobile apps.
Kwik 2 is ideal for designers and illustrators looking to create interactive eBooks, magazines, and now, games with physics. The plugin provides dozens of pre-made features such as controlling sound, linear and path animation, and spritesheet capabilities without the need for users to leave Photoshop. Kwik 2 also allows users to integrate external code inside the plugin.
"Kwik 2.1 offers several highly-requested features, empowering illustrators and designers to bring stories to life without any coding with even more options," says Alex Souza, Founder of Kwiksher. " Think of Kwik as your personal developer - you can focus on your creative vision, while Kwik takes care of the coding."
Kwik uses Corona SDK, the leading cross-platform mobile development framework, for previewing and publishing final projects. Over 150,000 developers worldwide build with Corona SDK, and more than 20,000 Corona-made apps have been published to major app markets.
"Kwik is an essential tool for designers and developers who are looking to quickly bring their creativity to the digital world," says David Rangel, COO of Corona Labs. "Some of the most impressive, unique and polished content we've seen in the Corona Showcase was developed with Kwik. The additional features available in Kwik 2.1 will pave the way for even more opportunities for innovation in mobile."
Dozens of popular Kwik-made children's storybooks, games and apps have been published to major app markets including Fire Cupid, featured in Wall Street Journal, TIME, and The Washington Times, and Sparky the Shark, an award-winning children's tale.
"The ease and speed of my storybook's development was a cinche, thanks to Kwik. After completing the artwork, I was able to quickly test my work on various screens, all within Photoshop," says Xavier Bottet, author of Halloween Recreation, a newly-launched storybook made with Kwik 2.
