NetSpot Adds More Wi-Fi Site Survey Features for Mac

in Software (E)

[] Atlanta, Georgia - NetSpot, the award-winning Wi-Fi site survey app, announced the release of version 2.1 today. NetSpot 2.1 brings Mac users a full-featured set of network survey tools, giving network professionals everything they need to optimize their wireless network for maximum coverage and efficiency.

NetSpot 2.1 brings many new features and improvements to the app, including the ability to create detailed custom reports, visualize frequency band and PHY mode coverage, and import zones and snapshots from other projects. In addition, calculation speeds are now 2-3 times faster.

The Free edition of NetSpot 2.1 continues to be available, however it is now geared specifically for the home user. This edition will allow one zone per project and up to 50 sample points per zone, which is more than enough for most home users. Commercial users will want to upgrade to NetSpot 2.1 PRO edition to avoid these new restrictions.

NetSpot received the MacWorld Editor's Choice Award in December 2012. No other Mac application - free or paid - provides such an extensive set of tools for network surveys.

NetSpot works over any 802.11 network on MacBook running Mac OS X 10.6+.
