Orb is a drag and drop, radial contextual menu that allows you to quickly open files with various applications without having to drag them all the way to your Dock.

Orb features a special Preview (only available for image-type formats) that displays an enlarged preview of image at the center of the menu. Among other settings is ability to choose size and color of Orb, Direction Sensing feature allows default application to be placed in the direction of gesture. Orb also allows you to prioritize items that will show up for particular file type.

It tightly integrates itself with Finder on Mac OS X. It is compatible and has been tested with virtually all recent versions of OS X from 10.7 to 10.11. Although Orb is completely compatible with El Capitan, it requires disabling SIP in order to function.

Benefits of this application is the ability to quickly open file with any related application with a simple drag and drop user interface. This is especially useful on large screens (like iMacs) in situations when you have to drag a document across the screen to open it with app in the Dock.
