[prMac.com] Halle, Germany - Rat King Entertainment today announced that "Pitman" for iPhone, iPod and iPad, the challenging and atmospheric roguelike game, will be available for free the following weekend on August 20th - 21st. In the roguelike Pitman, you build your own path through dangerous dungeons on the fly while fighting evil monsters and collecting various items - in order to find a mighty artifact, of course. Pitman is the essence of an RPG, minimalistic and inspired by traditional board games. And it is presented in 3D graphics.
You play the hard-bitten pitdwarf Krumb who searches in age-old crypts, mines, swamps and lost ruins for The Artefact. PITMAN addresses players who want to bring down lots of dangerous enemies with a broad collection of weapons, armors and wizardry, and do not fear numerous deaths before they can collect their reward.
The game was originally created within seven days for a contest from the roguelike community. The iOS version got a complete overhaul: additional monsters and locations were included, the gameplay was rebalanced and the interface got an easy-to-use control scheme.
