[prMac.com] Toronto (ON), Canada - August 7, 2007 - Zevrix Solutions today announced the release of version 2.5 of LinkOptimizer, a powerful solution for reducing the size of images linked to Adobe InDesign document automatically.
LinkOptimizer allows users to save valuable storage space, reduce output and file transfer time, and cut production costs by eliminating excessive image data. The program automatically reduces the size of linked images with an effective resolution higher than the user-defined target resolution, as well as images that were cropped in InDesign. LinkOptimizer opens the images in Photoshop, automatically reduces their resolution, and scales and crops them, replicating their dimensions in the InDesign document. LinkOptimizer then reimports the images into the document at 100% in precise position.
Version 2.5 introduces tighter integration with InDesign CS3, which allows users to open LinkOptimizer directly from the InDesign menus. In addition, LinkOptimizer can now be conveniently controlled as a separate application while retaining its integration of an InDesign plug-in.
LinkOptimizer can save hours and even days of production time, as well as gigabytes of space for publishing houses, design firms, printers, and service bureaus of any size. The software also allows to convert image colors, apply sharpening, specify safety bleed, and process image copies instead of originals.
Pricing and Availability:
LinkOptimizer 2.5 can be purchased from the Zevrix Solutions web site, www.zevrix.com, for US$99.95, as well as from authorized resellers. Demo is also available for download.
LinkOptimizer 2.5 is available for Mac OS X 10.4.2 and higher, Universal Binary, and works with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop CS, CS2 and CS3.
