[prMac.com] Eugene, Oregon - Kids can have fun and master spelling skills with PhotoCross, the educational game that generates unique, unlimited crossword puzzles, using photos as clues. Now, they'll have even more fun: with PhotoCross Version 2, parents can use their own photos, or combine them with PhotoCross photos. They can add or delete photos whenever they want through iTunes. Kids will love solving crossword puzzles using photos of their own family members, pets, and best friends - to name a few options - as clues.
Parents can select from three challenge levels: Easy, Medium, or Hard. The shortest words in Easy are just three letters long (think cat, dog, and hat); words in Hard can be up to ten letters long (think croissants, llama, and poinsettia).
Parents can choose to use only PhotoCross photos; newly expanded, PhotoCross now features more than 350 images. They can also easily add high-quality photos from those available free for personal use--literally millions are accessible online via a simple search. Based on whatever images are added, PhotoCross can generate puzzles that reflect a child's particular passions, such as, for example, animals, toys, favorite foods, vehicles--the sky's the limit!
PhotoCross is simple to use: as children type at the blinking cursor, correct letters appear in green; any incorrect letters appear in black. Once children have spelled a word correctly, they can move on to a new clue by selecting the first box of any word. To start a new puzzle, they just press the Refresh button. PhotoCross is designed for any kid who likes puzzles, from pre-K through elementary school.
