[prMac.com] Mainz, Germany - The popular genealogy software MacFamilyTree got even better with version 6.1. MacFamilyTree 6.1 offers syncing between as many Macs as you like. It seamlessly interacts with the recently introduced MobileFamilyTree Pro, too.
A completely rewritten Kinship Report is included in MacFamilyTree 6.1 handling even very complex relationships. The Kinship Report includes several more kinship types than previous versions. The person report and as the birthday report have been improved as well.
Version 6.1 brings a new chart type, the Double Ancestor Chart, as well as many improvements to the whole charting system: Kinships are now shown in all charts. The Hourglass as well as the Ancestor Chart have been improved to additionally show your partners kinship as an option. The Fan Chart can now display either ancestors or descendants. Performance of all charts has been improved across the board.
MacFamilyTree supports directly US English, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
MacFamilyTree 6.1 requires a Mac running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. MacFamilyTree 6 is fully compatible with the upcoming Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
Pricing and Availability:
Until July 7th, 2011 MacFamilyTree is available for $49.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies). After that, the new regular price is $59.99. It is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Productivity category. MacFamilyTree 6.1 is a free update for all customers who bought MacFamilyTree 6.0 and can be downloaded in the Mac App Store or through the Auto Updater built into MacFamilyTree (for versions purchased outside the Mac App Store). Customers who bought MacFamilyTree 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 can update to MacFamilyTree 6.1 for $25.00 (USD). All further updates to Version 6 are free of charge for customers who bought MacFamilyTree 6.
