[prMac.com] Flint Hill, Virginia - Mindwrap announces the release of its new FiledRight(R) Document Management system for Mac OS X at the upcoming MacWorld-iWorld show at Moscone Center in San Francisco on 26-28 January, 2012. Designed specifically for Macintosh-based small business users, FiledRight incorporates Mindwrap's 24 years of experience in the imaging and document management marketplace. Complete with integrated scanning and batch processing capabilities, FiledRight works in concert with the popular open source FireBird relational database to provide rock solid indexing, searching, and management of all types of scanned and desktop office documents. Product bundles will be available for 5, 10, and 25 users and include the FiledRight server, client workstation, indexing and query screens for common business needs, administration tools, and scanner driver, starting at a special MacWorld-iWorld introductory price of $1999.00. Technical support contracts are available on a yearly basis. Product demonstrations may be seen in Booth #846.
"Support for PDF and images built in to Mac OS X makes Apple a natural platform choice for document management. We're very excited to be able to offer an economical all-Mac solution to our small business customers", states Jim Small, Mindwrap's President.
Delivered as a fully functional and highly integrated solution, FiledRight is typically much faster to deploy than complicated "toolkits" that require extensive and costly development. Installation and configuration are quick and easy with the included server administration tools, allowing managers to select and deploy application-specific indexing screens and assign role-based permissions to all users. Scanning can be enabled for any FiledRight native Mac OS X workstation with the addition of a scanner driver. Clients can quickly convert paper to multipage PDF and TIFF using popular Fujitsu(TM) scanners, and can perform page-level editing and sophisticated redaction of sensitive documents. FiledRight maintains historical versions of all edited documents.
Founded in 1988 as Blueridge Technologies, Inc. we rebranded as Mindwrap in 1999. Founder Craig Landrum was a pioneer in the development of some of the largest document management systems ever designed - including the Automated Patent System in use at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Today, our team of engineers combine more than a century of experience in document management, workflow, and web-centric applications, enabling us not just to remain on the cutting edge of these technologies, but to help define them. Our customers select us for our technology and remain loyal for our customer support and updates. Many of our systems have been in continuous use for over 20 years, and have evolved from simple image archives to enterprise installations incorporating workflow, forms processing, text search, OCR, COLD, and thin-client web access.
