New Smoosh App for iPhone Helps Photos Escape the Ordinary
August 7, 2012 in Photo and Video
[prMac.com] Las Vegas, Nevada - Bazzbo today introduces Smoosh, its latest photography app for iPhone that transforms images into impressionist art by letting the user "smoosh" the pixels using unique tools for original and surprising results. The app allows photographers at any skill level to easily manipulate their images, giving them a unique and creative new look.
The app gives users new ways to smudge and smear their photos with a painterly look that is unique to the App Store. Designed by the creator of the popular Pixel Blend Pro app, Smoosh is available in both free and paid versions.
"Smoosh is a great addition to everyone's photo toolbox," said Michael Valdez, Founder of Bazzbo. "It's a simple, intuitive app to help your photos get away from the ordinary."
Photography on the iPhone is becoming even more popular, and for many amateur shutterbugs, it has replaced the standalone digital camera for everyday use. But as more and more photos are taken, people are increasingly looking for simple ways to enhance their pictures in fresh and exciting ways.
Smoosh is designed to help photographers make the pictures they take uniquely their own. The app was inspired by Polaroid SX-70 time zero film manipulation, a process that used various tools to distort the film's soft emulsion into a beautiful new look.
In Smoosh, photographers can use the sliders to adjust tool size and fluidity: warmer temperatures allow for more pixel movement. Then, they can drag their finger anywhere on the photo to apply as little or as much of the effect as they like.
With the "undo" and "redo" features, users are free to experiment with the many ways they can add life to their pictures. Completed photos can be quickly shared with friends by email, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, or Flickr.
"Smoosh gives you the tools to turn any photo into a work of art," Michael Valdez said, "without the steep learning curve found in many other photography apps."
Features of the new Smoosh app include:
* Transform Photos: Turn photos into impressionist art by "smooshing" the pixels
* Simple to Use: Easily enhance photos by just tapping and dragging a finger
* Unique Photo Tools: Play with an original technique not found in other apps for surprising results
