[prMac.com] Tampa, Florida - Happi Papi has announced that they are traveling to Washington to meet with lawmakers about the need for an environment that helps encourage innovation. In Washington, Happi Papi will join with 50 other tech companies around the US and participate in ACT | The App Association's annual Fly-In. To make their case to Capitol Hill, the effort is to raise concerns about data privacy and security, internet governance, patent reform, and regulatory obstacles to growth.
"Washington needs to know that companies in the mobile economy like Happi Papi are thriving all across the country," says Patrick Larson. "Companies like us are driving economic growth and we want the US government to encourage innovation in this space. The mobile ecosystem is primarily comprised of small companies - companies that are creating jobs, making incredible technology and invigorating the global economy. But sometimes, cumbersome regulation can be a major obstacle to that success which we will stress while on Capitol Hill.
Since its inception in 2011, Happi Papi has successfully designed and developed children's apps from its offices in Tampa, Florida and Malmo, Sweden. Happi Papi's latest app, QuizFlick Jr, was featured on the Apple App Store front page among "Best New Games" in February, 2015.
"We look forward to meeting with elected officials to educate them about the tech industry in general and the app industry in particular so they can make the right decisions for our future. We feel confident that an informed US Congress will allow companies like Happi Papi to continue to flourish," concludes Patrick Larson.
