[prMac.com] Prague, Czech Republic - Launching today on for iPhone/iPad and Android, Replay tests your knowledge of the classic PC games of the 80s and 90s. This free quiz game challenges you to identify 200 games from screenshots alone. Prove your PC game prowess while reliving all the epic battles, intergalactic journeys, intense emotions, and broken joysticks of your youth! If you grew up playing computer games like Prince of Persia, Doom and Diablo, Replay is the trivia game for you.
Questions are divided into genres (Action, Adventure, RPG, Strategy, and Sim). Each correct answer earns coins for the player, which can be used to get hints on later questions. If you get stuck on a question, you can share the screenshot on Facebook to get help from friends. With every round you win, you'll see a Wikipedia excerpt about the game so you can beef up your knowledge of these video game classics.
Replay's content was entirely crowdsourced, with over 60 game developers contributing their favorite titles to the final list - including Commander Keen, Lemmings, Diablo, Duke Nukem 3D, Leisure Suit Larry, and many more.
"When I was 16, playing Doom or UFO Enemy Unknown was like breathing for me. Replay brings back so many memories of playing games with my friends and in the school computer lab," says Petr Fodor, Replay's co-creator. "I thought I'd played every game this classic era had to offer - but it turns out I was wrong! Replay has something for everyone who was hooked on computer games in the 80s and 90s, and I hope players will enjoy the stroll down memory lane as much as I have."
