[prMac.com] Neuss, Germany - infovole GmbH updates the iPhone writing app Textkraft Pocket to include support for the Apple Watch. Textkraft Pocket, the professional writing app for the iPhone, now offers an Apple Watch text editor which directly synchronizes with many cloud services. No other text editor provides similar capabilities, which make writing on a smartphone as comfortable and productive: Extensive import and export features, easy and precise cursor navigation, selection guides, text styles, keyboard extensions and built-in dictionaries with synonyms are making this mobile text processor one-of-a-kind. The third comprehensive update in 6 months offers many new features.
Professional writers and translators know, text work is seldom finished in just one session. Authors most likely gain flashes of inspiration whenever they are AFK, on the move or in environments which are not compatible with iPads or iPhones.
Textkraft Pocket on the Apple Watch offers a simple solution to jot down these text fragments, ideas and raw formulations right on the spot into the right document - just in time before the idea is gone and without the need to rummage for the iPhone. But the app is not only perfect for mobile text work, it is also a helpful assistant for everyday tasks: To-do and shopping lists, cheat sheets and simple notes are perfectly placed on the wrist and always synced with other devices.
Textkraft shows a list of all open text documents on the Apple Watch. Thus, the user has direct access to content that is stored on Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud documents, iCloud Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Evernote, BOX or the local storage of the iPhone. All changes will be automatically synced with the original document in the cloud, without the need to operate on the iPhone.
Once a file is selected, the Apple Watch displays a compact overview of the text. All paragraphs are brought into a reduced three-line display that allows a fast orientation and specific access to content, even in comprehensive documents.
If a text passage needs to be edited, moved or marked, Textkraft switches into the paragraph editor. Text can be directly dictated into the Apple Watch. The iPhone transcribes the text and replaces or supplements the selected text or inserts a new paragraph into the document. Furthermore highlighters in various colors, functions to hide and move text passages and interactive check boxes for to-do lists are available.
The update of Textkraft Pocket is not only interesting for Apple Watch fans. The app provides many improvements, which raise the productivity of the writing process on the iPhone: Native Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive support, a multilingual text to speech function, passcode protection with TouchID and the new "Extended Forward Delete" key for professional translators are some of the highlights.
